Steve's 41st Birthday

Ryan, Trisha, Clark and Cruz came over to celebrate

Steve's 41st birthday on the weekend.

I made a Mexican feast at Steve's request. 

The boys did an amazing job decorating the birthday cake.

Clark thought that we would need the whole box of candles for Steve. 

Cruzie blew the candles out as the cake hit the table.

The boys did a great job in making Steve's birthday memorable!

Bathroom Design Ideas

The Tile that we are thinking of is a Travertine

18x18 on the floor and shower wall

Basket weave on the floor of the shower

In the alcove it is a tie between a 3x6 all the way up the wall around the tub

or up part way with a chair rail trim

 

We love this lamp in an Oval shape

in the alcove over the tub

 We are adding an arch over the tub

in front of the alcove

We love the look of this tub surround

Shaker style is the direction we are going for both the tub surround and the arch. 

We are also changing the baseboard

(eventually throughout the house)

this is the baseboard we are thinking of

For window and door trim mouldings,

we are using a plain wide finish board around the edge with an architrave on top

We are thinking that the snow plow driver has a summer landscaping business or maybe they thought the lamp posts were the snow markers.  Either way, we used to have sod right to the roads edge. 

Five Guy & Too Many Fries

We stopped for dinner at "Five Guys" 

& could not believe our eyes

when we saw the portion of fries!!!
