Saturday alone in Vancouver

So here I find myself alone in Vancouver for the weekend wondering what I can do to pass the time.

I got up fairly late so I thought maybe I should go get a coffee and just take it easy today.

Anybody who knows me well enough knows that my "coffee" is actually a Venti, seven pump, non-fat, no water, Tazo chai latte from Starbucks....so having made a decision on what to do with myself; I set out to get my beverage of choice.

After driving for a while I got to thinking that I had made a wrong turn somewhere because I was in somewhat unfamiliar territory....that is; until I saw this

"Now this looks familiar" i said to myself..."and I know there is a Starbucks close by".  No sooner had I said that I came across yet another familar sight that let me know I was indeed on the right track.

I can smell Coffee brewing somewhere....it must be close by.  No sooner had I thought it...there it was...the holy grail of all who frequent the sign of the mermaid....the original Starbucks.

Got my Chai Latte, and went for a wander around the market enjoying the sunshine and warm Seattle weather...wishing Shelly and Diesel were here with me to take it all in.

After seeing the market and all it had to offer, I decided it was best to hop back in the truck and head for "home" (a.k.a The Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver).

Hit the highway intent on getting back to the hotel in time for dinner; when I ran into an old friend who persuaded me to come by for dinner....

Not wanting to be rude...I had to accept.  Feeling full and satisfied after a great meal with an old friend I set off yet again for the hotel; on the whole...not a bad day.

Wonder what I'll do tomorrow?

Southern Exposure

Back to Southern Exposure...
I am currently hanging out in Sarasota Florida with Diesel and my Dad.

It is so beautiful here.
Dad and I spent a day taking a few local photo's of Sarasota.  Someone told us that the only Dog friendly beach has a narrow path between two alligator ponds and you have to
"walk the plank" to get to the beach...
Yeah, I don't think so.
So we broke the rules and went to the beach!

Diesel was so excited about the smell of the Ocean, and on our way down the path to the beach the long grass was tickling his bum, he would leap in the air, we weren't sure if he was leaping from excitement or because his bum was being tickled!

Here are a few pics from the Sarasota Bay front...

This past weekend Dad and I were surprised by a knock at the door.  Steve booked a flight without telling either of us and came for the weekend!
I was so excited to see him!!!

My Family

Let me start by introducing you to my family...

Steve...My incredibly handsome husband and best friend

Diesel...My beautiful and brilliant baby boy

There I am...well maybe not, but those who know me also know that I am always behind the camera, never in front!I
